Thank you Laura - your
post and challenge this week was full of love and lovely children. And as I undertook this one, my own children were watching a bizarre film called 'Coraline' which I am sure influenced my tangling. It's not dark, as was the film, but it definitely has a bizarre quality to it and I don't recognise it as 100% something 'mine'! But I was feeling full of love when I did it, so perhaps that explains the large Mooka 'heart'...?
Rixty has a cartoon quality to it and so my tile has a very black, white and red theme. I really enjoyed it and hope you'll let me know what you think.
Happy Easter to you all.

DeleteI do like a bit of colour and this is great! Love the Mooka heart, one of my favourite tangles to do. Linda x
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda - I love doing Mooka as a heart and it seemed to sum up Rick and Maria and their different styles. Axxx
DeleteBeautiful Annie, rixties looks so different when done in color. It is a very passionate piece of work, especially with the mooka heart in red!
ReplyDeleteThank you Didisch - I am delighted to have my work described as passionate - it was a very instinctive piece and seemed absolutely the right thing to do. It's not often I've felt like that...Axxx
DeleteThat is so pretty! I love the red on it. I listen to music when I create... and upon seeing this, one of my favorite songs came to mind. Garth Brook's "The Red Strokes" :) Simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelly! I usually have the television on and watch a programme popular in the UK called 'QI' which isn't very 'visual' but which is very amusing and that always puts me in the mood for tangling. I will check out the Garth Brook's song...Axxx
DeleteLove the red color on this. It just pops out when your blog opens. The shading adds a very subtle nuance to it that really highlights the tangles.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donald - lovely positive criticism from you is very valuable to me. Axxx

ReplyDeleteHello Chrissie - and thank you so much. After the lovely comments I had about the colour, I think I shall use it again. Axxx
