Diva Challenge 176 BYOB!

Hardly any time seems to have passed since I completed the Diva's Challenge for last week - the lovely tangle, Crux - when suddenly, it's new challenge time!! Hurray!!
And the Diva herself is very busy and this week, she and her family will be at the Moebius Syndrome Conference. So we have another guest challenger...and what a great idea it is this week. Amy Broady has challenged us to do that thing we usually dread doing....spilling a drink on our precious tile!

My favourite (and necessary fix) is always coffee. I love it strong, neat, with milk, with ice, hot, foamy or cold....you name it, I'll drink it - as long as it's not instant!! It's difficult to see the 'spill' on my tile, but it's there and visible above and below my tangling space...trust me; I spilled too much!  I chose to tangle in the vague style of a Barista....using Heartstrings, a variation on Flux and a variation on Echoism - and of course, a few 'Ahh's in appreciation of the delicious taste!

I used sepia, black, gold and white. It had to be a quick one this week as I'm off to the UK for a little holiday with my children the day after tomorrow - very excited - and my chance to write up and post will be limited. I will, however, have a whole three hours on the plane to enjoy a bit of uninterrupted tangling!

    A splash of brilliance! I love your tile's casual symmetry and that your variations of flux and echoism create a lovely repetition of the drop shape. Your heartstrings centerpiece is a grand focal point; makes me think of a fountain of delicious coffee! Thank you for making time in your busy week to create a tile for this challenge. Have fun in the U.K. I myself will be heading there for the first time with my family in the not-too-distant future!

      Thank you Amy, for such lovely feedback. I so enjoyed doing it - just wish I'd had a bit more time to do the Barista skill justice - but this is Zentangle and I can do what I want...

      Thanks Jean - I initially thought of all sorts of tangles on the theme of coffee but in the end, I stuck with those that resembled the Barista patterns and am glad I did.
      We'll have a great time, I'm sure!

      Thank you Linda - it was one of those tiles that I did without even really thinking, although I had a few ideas to start with. This was going to be just a 'draft' but I rather liked it and then didn't have any more time. I'm so looking forward to a visit though I guess it will rain from the minute we arrive! Looking to cool down from the 37 degrees we have here at the moment!

    If this is a quick tile, there is a lot to be said for quick tiles. It does have a loose feel to it, but is no less lovely for that - in fact, it's refreshing.
